
Matthieu Baudelet

Dr. Matthieu Baudelet is currently a Research Assistant Professor of Optics in the Laser Plasma Laboratory in the Townes Laser Institute. His research expertise include covers the fundamentals of laser-induced plasmas, the application of laser spectroscopies such as LIBS, Fluorescence, Raman, FTIR, ... as fundamental diagnostics as well as sensing techniques for defense, industrial, environmental, biomedical applications and the study of propagation of ultrashort laser pulses for sensing purposes at distances up to the kilometer range.

Amy Bauer
Board Member and Ex President
Dr. Amy Bauer is a Principal Applications Support Engineer for LIBS and Raman spectroscopy at TSI Incorporated. She is also an Affiliate Researcher in the Earth, Atmosphere and Planetary Sciences Department at MIT. In previous positions, she has worked in instrument development, data manipulation and atmospheric chemistry and physics. She has been actively involved in LIBS research since 1995

Prasoon Diwakar
Ex Secretary
Dr. Prasoon Diwakar has extensive background in Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, Laser-Ablation Inductively-Coupled-Plasma Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS), Spark-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (SIBS) and plasma spectroscopy. He is a postdoc research associate at Purdue University. Before joining Purdue, he was a post-doctoral associate at NIOSH, Cincinnati.

Steve Buckley
Board member and Ex president
Dr. Steve Buckley is Director of Market Development at TSI Incorporated, which acquired the LIBS business of Photon Machines, Inc. in 2012. Prior to co-founding Photon Machines, Steve was a tenured professor of engineering at the University of California, San Diego. David Hahn
Board Member
Dr. David Hahn is currently Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. His research lies in the thermal sciences and laser-material interactions, with nearly 20 years of experience in the area of LIBS. He has published over 100 journal papers and book chapters, has 9 US patents. He is a Fellow of ASME and of the Society of Applied Spectroscopy.
